Above is a "tablist menu" which can have links and text, and even if the top menu wraps at a large text size, the menu behaves well on any browser. If Javascript is disabled, the menu simply displays all at once. If CSS is disabled, the menu displays as a text list.

Here is a horizontal menu, good for submenus that only need a single level. The appearance changes when you hover the mouse over the menu, and the background fits the width of each item. This is all done with Style Sheets (very easy to change throughout the site, and fast download times):

blockquote: You can pick a background color, or a portion of a photograph. So that text is easy to read, select a picture (or cropped portion of a picture) with very even contrast and very similar color. If you are tiling the image, have the top and bottom very similar, and have the left and right very similar. P Class=Attention If your background color is very light, all the colors that match will also be very light. To generate more vibrant colors, run the Color Schemer again, substituting one of the darker Variant colors from the first use of the Color Schemer.
